Why did you choose Macquarie? Macquarie's course was good, the lecturers were good and it seemed to be a really good research university - research brings in the good lecturers. I surf as well, so coming here was partly a lifestyle choice… Being midway between the city and the beach is awesome. There are beaches all the way up the coast and they are amazing. What have been the highlights of your experience? I can be involved in things here that I just couldn't do in England. Why did you choose Macquarie? “I preferred Australia to a European country, such as Spain. It’s more exotic or far away. Europe you can go anytime but not Australia. I am also here mostly because of the international experience. With the whole globalisation thing, you need to know about different cultures and how to interact with people in other countries.” What have been the highlights of your experience? “A highlight has been meeting people from all around the world. It’s quite amazing and it’s not like that at home. Also, everyone’s so nice and really kind. With the Opera House, the Bridge and Darling Harbour, Sydney is a beautiful city.
