Swinburne

Student Services and Accommodation

Swinburne students have access to excellent facilities include wireless technology, well-equipped laboratories, extensive libraries, health centres, comfortable student accommodation, cafés, sporting facilities and a range of special interest clubs. All campuses have easy access to transport, shops and entertainment venues.

There is so much more to studying in Australia than just being in the classroom, which is why Swinburne International organises affordable daytrips and activities for our international students. Trips to popular tourist destinations are run most weekends during the teaching period. In 2006 students visited some of the world’s best surf spots along the Great Ocean Road, the home of the famous Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, as well as tours to the Australian outback and even a tour around the famous MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground).

Accommodation at Swinburne University

At Swinburne, we offer various accommodation options such as on-campus apartments, homestay and private rental. On-campus accommodation options include the brand new UniLodge @ Swinburne Place apartments at the Hawthorn campus, The Residential College (Hawthorn) and the luxurious Lilydale Student Village looking over the beautiful Lilydale lake. Prahran students can live at the Hawthorn campus and commute by train (which takes about 30 minutes).
