Most universities and institutions offer an accommodation service for International Students. Some Australian Universities offer University owned or managed accommodation which may be located on campus or close to campus. University accommodation is a great option to consider as you are able to live close to campus and with other new international students. It also provides a great way to meet new friends and live in an environment with other like minded students. It will also allow you to establish a great social network. English schools and some other institutions offer homestay accommodation. This is a good option because you live with a local family in Australia. They will look after you and communicate with you English so you can practice your English. Your institution will be able to give you more information about homestay options. You know that you will have a place to stay when you arrive in Australia. | You can not choose who you live with. | Living on or close to campus | You may need to sign a contract for a fixed amount of time eg.
