| There are three times zones in Australia: Eastern, Central and Western. |

2) Central ZoneAustralian Central Standard Time (ACST) is equal to Greenwich Mean Time plus 9 ½ hours (GMT +9 ½). ACST is followed in these regions: | South Australia Northern Territory Broken Hill, NSW |
3) Western ZoneAustralian Western Standard Time (AWST) is equal to Greenwich Mean Time plus 8 hours (GMT +8). AWST is followed in these regions:  | Western Australia |
Day light saving Some Australian states and territories change time during the summer months to take advantage of the summer sun. Clocks are moved forward by one hour when `Day Light Saving´ time starts and back one hour when `Day Light Saving´ time ends. Below is a list of the states and territories which change times during Summer.
