Where to go?

With limited time and budget the big question is where to go? In this case, our suggestion is to decide first what you would like to experience. Would you like to party? See beautiful beaches? Experience the outback of Australia? Scuba Dive? Go Crocodile Hunting?

Travel Australia Students

It is important to have an idea of where you want to go and then you can start making a plan based on your interests and your budget.

Also take your ideas to a travel agency. There are lots of travel agencies in Australia and in general they are all quite helpful. Get brochures, tips and prices from them and take your time to make your decision. Talk to you friends also, they may be able to give you some good advice.

After you decide on a destination or a route, think about the best way to get there. Remember that Australia is a big country so you could spend a lot of time travelling from one place to another if you do not plan your trip carefully. If you can afford it take a plane. Nowadays, you can find good deals on almost every airline in Australia.

If you want to go to various places in the one trip, select a destination with different experiences. It is also common that international students get a one-way flight to a destination and then explore other places on their return via car, bus or train which allows you to stop in other cool places.

One-day trips

You do not need to wait for your holidays to travel around Australia. It is very common to find one-day trips to very cool places around your city. You can take a tour around wineries or jump into a boat to watch wild whales and dolphins or spend a weekend in the mountains or a beach.

Take advantage of this opportunity and get the most of your weekend. You can also organize these trips with your friends or do it your own by renting a car or catching a train. There is a lot of information available from your cities Tourism Department about weekend and short trips.
