Pathways to La Trobe University

La Trobe University offers Foundation Programs and Diploma Programs on their campus in Melbourne. These programs provide an academic bridge for International students into degree studies at La Trobe University.

Alternatively, students may undertake a La Trobe Diploma. We offer Diplomas in Business Administration and Information Systems. There are three intakes per year for international students to study Foundation and Diploma programs. This provides students with numerous benefits including considerable savings of time and money.

La Trobe University English Language Centre

La Trobe University was the first university in Melbourne to establish an English language centre for overseas students. Since 1974, thousands of students from all over the world, and from many backgrounds have chosen to study our English language courses.

The Centre is located on one of the largest university campuses in Australia, situated in beautiful landscaped grounds in Bundoora, Melbourne, with over 17,000 students and an extensive range of services and facilities.

The English Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) provides for different objectives and levels of English. The courses on offer are: 

·         General English

·         English for Further Studies

·         English for Business

·         English and Internship  (Certificate II in Professional Communication)

·         Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) Preparation

·         Insight into Australia Program
