Study and work at the same time!

Most universities in Australia run in a semester basis, and each semester has 13 weeks. With a student visa good for one year you will be able to work 20 hours for 26 weeks and unlimited hours the rest of the time. Also, there are a couple of universities running on a quarter basis, which means that each period has 10 weeks – therefore, if you choose to enrol those programs you will have a total of 30 weeks of classes a year, with 22 weeks allowing you to work as much as you want, depending on the possibilities of your employer.

Also, the Australian education system privileges the combination of study and work, as the class hours per week go from 10 to 20, allowing students to undertake a job or internship related to their study discipline. Indeed, in Australia it is quite common to see students working and studying at the same time from the Bachelors studies, which makes them successful professionals because of the multiple skills they develop with this combination of activities.
