AIEC Wrap-up!

Wow, what a busy and productive week it was!

It was so great to see all our clients and friends in Melbourne last week, we always look forward to seeing you all in the same place and having the chance to talk about all that is happening in our world of stats!

It was also really good to have the opportunity to meet new contacts from all around the world and we are very excited to be working on some new and innovative projects with you.

There were so many things that happened during the week, but here are some of our highlights!

  AUIDF Presentation

We were very grateful to have the opportunity to present our International Tuition Fee Analysis to the Directors on Monday. Each year we analyse international tution fees from all universities and for all study levels.

Thank you for your very postitive feedback and we look forward to working with you to provide another complete and comprehensive analysis of 2017 fees which will be available in December.

We have listened to your suggestions and we will be including some new items in the 2017 report including further analysis of fees versus university rankings, impact of exchange rates and new graphs and tables providng the % increment in comparison with 2016 fees.

We are currently taking expressions of interest from those who are interested in purchasing the 2017 report and more information can be found here.

The International Mobility Benchmark makes its debut!

For the first time, data from the first International Mobility Benchmark was presented at AIEC.

Eight universities from eight countries are participating in a world first benchmark of mobility strategies which Studymove is currently developing. It is a very exciting time for these universities who are have the opportunity to learn and explore what other world leaders in the industry are doing in the area of student mobility.

A huge thank you to Martha Johnson (The University of Minnesota), Brett Berquist (The University of Auckland), Davina Potts (The University of Melbourne) and Edilio Mazzoleni (Universit√° Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) for sharing their data in the presentation.

More information about this benchmark is outlined here

Our comic strip poster was a hit!

Stats are't boring nor bland! We had the chance to jazz up our two stats posters during the conference and show how interesting and exciting stats can actually be when they tell a story!

Our first poster was on our International Tuition Fees Analysis which we conduct annually. Studymove analyses international tuition fees for all undergraduate (Bachelor degrees only), postgraduate (Masters by coursework only) and study abroad programs from all Australian universities.

The result is an analysis of over 4,500 programs and an 80 page report containing numerous tables and charts! We presented our findings in relation to international tuition fees and international university rankings...interesting stuff which we will explore further in our 2017 report.

The 2017 report will be available for purchase in December 2016. Please contact Keri to obtain a proposal or to confirm your interest in purchasing the 2017 report - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We found a magic formula for better partnerships!

The big question for most institutions is how can they ensure that global partner relationships are valuable, sustainable, strategic and meet the overall needs of the university?

We believe we have developed a tool to help institutions do just that! We took the opportunity of our second poster session to present with Dawn Hewitt the RMIT Case Study and comprehensive Partnership Assessment Tool (PAT) developed by Studymove which uses specific metrics taken from the most popular international university ranking systems to assess the value of global partner relationships.

PAT enables institutions to evaluate the following attributes of their current and potential international partners:
  • Brand quality and reputation
  • Geographic priorities
  • Academic alignments
  • Research capabilities
  • Employability

We received some great feedback from universities who have been struggling to assess the value of their partnerships and we are happy to already be working with some universities in developing this tool for their partnership management team.

We invite you to explore the benefits of PAT here.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you all again soon and most definitely at NAFSA in 2017!
